Rainbow Party!!!

Rainbow Jumper with the Rainbow Attired Four Year Old

Rainbow Pinwheels

Papa and YiaYia had this AWESOME pinata made for Zo.

Well...another success!  We had to postpone due to Zoe being sick, but she felt much better for her party the following weekend.  Again, I made the cake and that was so much fun.  I love decorating the cakes for the kiddos, thanks to my friend, Kim, who inspired me to do so.  This one was not only a hit because of the outside, but the inside was rainbow as well.  My favorite was how the candy table turned out, but Zoe told us her favorite part was the rainbow jumper.  She really had a great time and this was the first time she invited some friends of her choice from school.  We are really thrilled that she has made a few little girl friends at school.  Hopefully she will end up going to elementary school at the same school as one or more of them.  This year we had the kiddos making Fruit Loop necklaces and wacking a pinata, along with the usual jumper.  The pinata was such a success!  Because we had the candy table already, I filled it with big toys, and the kids loved it.  Zoe is already asking about her party next year!  I want to get her used to the idea of "our" party instead of "my" party, so the girls can have a dual party next year.

Bath Time Fun!

I couldn't resist grabbing the camera and sharing.  You can see how much our girls adore one another.  They have such a blast together!  These are just classics.

Happy Fourth Birthday Zoe!!!

ANOTHER year has already flown by!!!  Zoe is FOUR!!!  She is such a proud four year old.  We have had quite a busy year with adjusting to a new baby sister and starting school!  Zoe has grown up so much this year.  At the beginning of last summer, she began a summer preschool drop off program and was super timid and wouldn't talk much or interact with others.  Then she started our school and the local park and rec program and she is developing into her own little self.  Still very shy and timid, but warms up much quicker!  Yeah!  This year she has learned how to write her name, can identify letters and numbers, count at least up to thirty-nine, write most of the letters, and even knows the sounds and what some words begin with based on the sound.  She loves art and brings home paper puppets to retell the nursery rhymes.  Zoe's coordination is getting much better and she rides bikes, trikes and scooters pretty well.  She even told Daddy that she wanted to play t-ball!  That definitely makes a daddy proud!  She is into everything that is girly.  Her favorites seem to be Barbies, dress-up, and she is starting to like the Disney princesses (There is something about Ariel, The Little Mermaid).  It is amazing how fast she is catching on to technology.  She can operate our phones, ipads, and Kindle Fire.  Her favorite foods kind of fluctuate, but she LOVES shrimp!  When we go to retaurants, most of the time she orders for herself.  We can't believe what a great big sis she is!  She helps out all of the time and even "babysits" her!  Kylee adores her!  Happy 4th Birthday Zo!!!

Happy FIRST Birthday Kylee!

My baby girl is ONE!!!  Kylee Mae, I cannot believe it has already been a year.  This year and all of your milestones have been bitter sweet.  Every time you accomplish something new, I am elated, yet sad that we will never experience that ever again.  I love your serious, yet spunky personality.  You are going to be our child who gets into EVERYTHING.  The need to explore and try things is definitely going to enhance your little life.  Your smile is definitely contagious and you are such a little cuddle bug.  We have yet to see a tooth surface, but I am sure we are not far from that and you may begin walking VERY soon.  You are just like your sissy in many ways too.  Both of you go through stages of liking and disliking (or interested and uninterested in) different types of foods.  Right now, you love black beans, bananas, cheese, bagels with cream cheese, and yogurt.  A staple for you is definitely oatmeal.  You love the swing in the backyard and you can't get enough of your big sis.  She makes you crack up like no other.  I hope that you two grow to be very close friends and get along for your whole lifetime.  Both of you are so lucky to have one another and Mommy and Daddy and doubly lucky!  Happy Birthday Pumpkin!
For Kylee's birthday we kept it really low key and she got beans for dinner because they are her fave.  Zoe helped her open her gifts and she got a cool do in the bath to top it all off.  And the beat goes on!

Happy Easter!!!

Look what the Easter bunny left behind...

We are big kids now and are ready for our indoor egg hunt!!!

Kylee pointed to this egg, so we HAD to get it :)

 Oh yeah!  More birthday celebration!

And big sis got to celebrate too!

Happy Easter!  I really can't believe that a whole year has passed.  Last year on Easter, I was in labor and hoping to have Kylee, so Nona and Tasia could see the baby before they flew home the next day.  Well all worked out well.  Kylee cooperated and came out on Easter!  She and her sister really like this holiday.  I remember wanting to get through Easter morning and the egg hunt before going to the hospital.  Now I look at how big all of the kiddos are getting and I can't believe it!  Our family is happy and healthy and that is the best thing of all!  Our girls celebrate their birthdays and Easter around the same time, and nothing could be better.
This Easter was spent going to church in the morning, then to my parents' house to celebrate Easter and the girls' birthdays with the family.  The kiddos had an Easter egg hunt and craft time.  And of course we love when my cousins come because the kiddos love entertaining them (or vice versa), so we get a little break :)  Thanks girls!!!  We enjoyed time hanging out and the kids had plenty to play with because of the goodies the got from Grandma and Grandpa and the egg contents.  We sang Happy Birthday and the girls open presents to top off the night.  Thanks for celebrating with us everyone!
