Happy Birthday Zach! (Kylee's First Time Bowling!!!)

Ready, Set, Go!

Please, please, please! (Thinking STRIKE...)
Kylee and Baz
Driving together :)

Six years old!!!

Kylee wanted to sit with Zach, he had to share his chair.  :)
Silly Little Kiddos!

The girls had a blast at Zach's sixth birthday!  Kylee bowled for the very first time and loved it.  She loved it so much, she had a very hard time letting anyone else have a turn!  (Plus it was nap time :))  Zoe got home and said she loves bowling.  She went when she was about Kylee's age, but hasn't since.  All the deco was Lego related and Auntie always does a great job with decorations.  Zoe got to play with her cousins and really focused on bowling and Kylee bowled and ran around after Baz.

Swimming at Papa and YiaYia's

 Swimming!!!  Yeah!
All of a sudden, so comfortable in the water!!!

 Swimming by myself!!!

We are so excited!  Kylee wanted to get in to the pool on her own yesterday.  She gradually got to swimming in the tube on her own at Papa and YiaYia's.  It feels like this has happened overnight and I am so bummed that summer break is already over, despite the crazy hot weather we are having.  Next year she is definitely getting swim lessons from Miss Marjean and her crew!

Santa Monica

 Carousel Ride
 The Aquarium
 Looking intensely at the fish...
 Yikes!

Studying
We went to Santa Monica for David's birthday and the girls walked the pier, went on the carousel, and enjoyed the aquarium there.  After lunch at Bubba Gump, we got ice cream.  Yum!

Greater Than, Less Than

Zoe is beginning to understand greater than, less than.  She is pretty much picking up anything her teacher says, I mean ANYTHING!

Our Little Peanut

Kylee has been developing so much vocabulary lately!  AND starting to ask WHY all of the time.  I really love her curiosity and she seems to be our little engineer.  She likes to take things apart and put them back together.  Her ability to operate my iPhone is pretty amazing and she loves to play the alphabet game on our iPads.  She wants to do everything Zoe does and she is such a go getter!  She will always be our little peanut and she still loves to cuddle.  We almost have the ABCs down and she loves singing The Itsy Bitsy Spider and The Wheels on the Bus.  Of course Frozen is still a favorite and she loves to act and sing with her sister.

Day 4 of Kindergarten

Zoe has been coming home with tid bits of The Pledge of Allegiance each day and today, she recited the WHOLE thing!  We are so proud of her and can't believe she is picking things up as fast as she is.  If only she would eat her lunch!  We are working and have been working on that all summer and it is just one of those things that many kiddos her age have an issue with.  Then as parents, we worry and get frustrated at the amount of food that gets wasted.  It will come and we have to keep reminding ourselves that it is so common.  Her teacher sent home the list of 31 words they should know by the end of kindergarten and we worked on three so far.  She can read them, spell them and use them in a sentence, so we are off to a great start!  Here is Zoe, reciting The Pledge of Allegiance...
