Whose Child is This?

Zoe needed a TB screening for preschool at our school, so we have been trying to prep her for it. She was a champ! NO tears!!! Holy cow, what a BIG girl!!!

Planet Talk

Zoe was with us when we picked up our classroom keys and we went to check out what we could get started on. When we walked into Shaun's room his globe was on his desk and Zoe noticed it. She asked, "Mommy, what planet is that? Of course I had to look to Shaun with that look of...did she really say what I think she just said?! So my response was a question to her, just to see what she would say.  I asked, "What planet do you think it is, Zo?"  She said, "Earth!"  Shaun and I were in disbelief!  Then she asked, "Where do we live on Earth?"  Seriously?  Shaun showed her and then she wanted to know where our babysitter, Goya, lived.

Zoe's Chopsticks

We went out to eat with Grandma and Grandpa to a new Chinese restaurant and they had children's chopsticks.  Zoe absolutely loved using her own chopsticks like Grandma and she even got to take them home.  Thanks Grandma!  One day she will use real chopsticks, but for now the children's chopsticks are awesome.

Swimming/Water Play

Hanging with Grandpa in the Pool
Kylee's First Official Swim (Hmmm...Not too bad!)

Zo has learned to love playing in the sprinklers recently.
 Playing with the rainbow...
In the past few weeks, Zoe has gotten more and more exposure to the pool and she is gaining the confidence she needs to swim on her own.  She goes all the way under the water and basically swims on her own by just holding her hands.  Maybe by the end of the summer, she will gain the confidence.  Lately she has wanted to play in the sprinklers and she has a blast.

 Kylee and Cousins
We took the girls to the Aquarium of the Pacific with Grandma, Zach, Ryder, Auntie Marilynn, Darren, Vicky, Sebastian, Uncle David, Auntie Jocelyn, Karen and Katherine.  It was a good time and we topped it off with a trip to Bubba Gump Shrimp for an early dinner.

All Smiles in the Jumper

Kylee's little legs are long enough for her jumper and she absolutely loves it!  She will spend up to an hour in it, looking around, bouncing and playing with her toys.

Kylee is Four Months!!!

Kylee had her four month appointment a little while ago.  We can't believe that she is already that old!!!  She measured 24 inches (not convinced the nurse was accurate on this one) and 13 lbs, 7 oz.  The height is about the same as Zoe was at four months and her weight is a half pound bigger (she was born a half pound bigger), so she is growing at about the same pace Zo did.  It is neat to go back in the archives to see when Zoe did what.  Kylee had 3 shots and one oral vaccination.  Poor thing got a little rash on her legs from the shots, but was such  trooper.  Zoe loves playing with her sister and definitely looks out for her already.  Kylee watches her big sis' every move and cracks up whenever Zoe is acting goofy.  She never wants to miss any Zoe action.  Her babbling and cooing is becoming more and more lately and it is getting louder too!

Kylee Rolled Over!!!

Kylee rolled over for the first time!!!  Yeah!  She has been so close for quite a few days now, but finally got that arm out of the way to finish the roll over.  Shaun and I both saw it :).  She went from her back to tummy, so now she just needs to get the hang of getting back over...

Summer Rain

Despite the rain starting when it was nap time...Zoe still needed to go out and play in it!  Seriously...there is only a few times when it is completely warm outside and raining, so we postponed nap and she played until it stopped raining.  She loved it!

Cousin Sebastian

Kylee has about four weeks on Sebastian :)
No wonder Zo is so expressive!

Who is this big girl?!

We met my cousin, Darren's, little one, Sebastian on Sunday.  They both were really good.  He is a little chunker and sure does LOVES to eat!  Kylee has some catching up to do :).  Kylee was born about 4-5 weeks before Sebastian and this was there first time hanging out.  It was fun to see the next generation so close in age, just like my cousin, Brian and I were.

Fair with the Cousins

Zach was not sure about the race car ride this year, but LOVED it last year.

Grandma with boys on the Merry-Go-Round

We made it to the fair for our annual trip with the kiddos.  All five kiddos were great while we were at the fair!  Great Grandma, Auntie Debbie, and Jan also joined us.  The four older grandkids rode rides, ate fried chicken, got churros, checked out the animals, and allowed us to cruise around the booths.  The oldest two, Zach and Zoe, even waited in line to see the butterflies and they were mesmerized.  It was a really good time.
