Yay! Our house is finally coming together!!! I love everything about the space now and it is just a matter of getting stuff for the walls and possibly a couple decorative chairs for a little reading area. We are thrilled with all of it and the girls have been very good about not eating or drinking around the new couch.

New Couch!
Yay! Our house is finally coming together!!! I love everything about the space now and it is just a matter of getting stuff for the walls and possibly a couple decorative chairs for a little reading area. We are thrilled with all of it and the girls have been very good about not eating or drinking around the new couch.
Snow Festival
Like last year, we went to the snow festival, but Kylee wasn't feeling so hot, so she didn't want anything to do with the snow. Despite her sister's status, Zoe was able to have a bit of fun. By the time Zoe mustered the courage for the snow slides, the lines were enormous, so she was a great sport and said, "Maybe next year."
Maker Faire
Stop Motion
Our colleagues took part in a Maker Faire at the local Barnes and Noble. We went to support them and Zoe got interested enough to try it out. While Zoe worked with Daddy, Mommy followed Kylee around the bookstore. She found herself a good book, plopped down on the floor, and read while she waited for her sis. When we returned home, Zoe wanted to make some more stop motion videos, so her first full video is below. Such a great tool for story telling and sequencing events. (And in hers, she sequences multiple events simultaneously!)
Halloween in the Neighborhood
Kylee's First Halloween Parade
STEM Challenge with the Cousins
The kids' task was to build a boat that would float the longest and be able to hold ten pennies. It is so neat to see how each of them had a different approach. Then of course we had a couple sink, so they learned that failing was okay, as long as they tried again. They were all successful! Then the kids made wreaths for Halloween. We also took scooters all the way to the pizza place!!! Five kids, four scooters and a stroller, and we made it in one sane piece!!! The kids were such great listeners as we crossed busy streets and road over the freeway :)
