Like Mommy, Like Daughter

I came home with my hair short, so Zoe decided she wanted hers short "like Mommy".  I allowed it, but still asked that it was long enough for a pony tail.  It made her seem so grown up!!!

Kylee's First Hair Cut (April)

 Our favorite hair stylist...Karin

Kylee was such as good girl and sat so still for her first hair cut.  Karin was so impressed with how well she sat and carried her little person conversation.  She felt so special.

First Grade Garden Play

Zoe was one of the leads in the first grade Garden Play.  She was one of the gardeners and did a fantastic job!  This is so amazing to us because she is so slow to warm with individuals and she gets up on stage is is a pro!  We are so proud and cannot wait to see what she will accomplish next.

Pink Fire Truck

Our friend Summer, helped arrange visits to girls/women who were battling cancer to lift their spirits.  We met up with the fire trucks and the team that takes time away from their real engines, to tour with this group that's goal is to raise awareness and lift spirits of those that are battling cancer.  The girls were excited to see an unusual fire engine.  We could explain a little more to Zoe because she understands more.

Happy 7th Birthday, Zoe!

Zoe had an extra special birthday at the Great Wolf Lodge.  She is really growing up and we are trying to get her to be a sport about trying new experiences.  It is a process, but she is starting to embrace new experiences.  She is loving school and has a good bunch of friends and is now expanding that bunch because of softball.

Happy 4th Birthday Kylee!

We still can't believe how fast our little ones are growing!  Kylee is four and full of personality and stubbornness.  She is spicy, but so loving and still loves her cuddles!  She made it through her first year of preschool with quite a rough start, but as the year went on, she got the hang of following most rules...(it is still a work in progress).  Paw Patrol is still her all-time favorite and as you can see scored a bunch of new Paw Patrol things, even a personalized book from Grandma and Grandpa!

Happy Easter

The kids always enjoy hanging out for the holidays.  This year we went to my brother's house and Brody came to do crafts, hunt for eggs and enjoy something to eat together.  It is fun to see how different kids search for eggs, or peek in the eggs and put them down if it's not what they want, or they collect so many the basket overflows and they drop eggs for others to pick up.  We are so lucky to have kiddos that are so close in age and have such a close relationship.  I felt creative enough to make a sunflower cake, Shaun and Zo made the apple pie and I made the strawberry pie too.

Happy Birthday Grandma! (March)

It sometimes is easier to celebrate birthdays at the house because the kiddos can have a little more freedom and can hang out more.  Happy Birthday Grandma!

San Diego Trip (March)

Legoland
Kristin, Zoe and Ky with Heartland Girls

Ky LOVES roller coasters!!!

Sea World
 Shark Egg About to Hatch!

 We LOVE the Corvette Diner!!

Every spring, we try to make a weekend trip to San Diego.  This year Jeff and Wendy brought their niece, Kristin with them and the girls had a great time.  Kylee discovered her LOVE of roller coasters, but was bummed to miss the BIG ones because she was too little.  Poor thing!  Our lil' dare devil.  Zoe is becoming more open to trying new experiences and loves the thrill of roller coasters as well.  She is really coming into her own and finding her adventurous side.
