Zoe Has Another New Friend!!!

Our good friends, Patrick and Sommer, just welcomed Zoe's new friend, Connor, into the world this morning at 3:06. He weighed 6 lbs., 6 oz. and was 19.5 in. long. Connor's mommy was such a champ and made it sound so easy! We dropped Zoe off at Grandma and Grandpa's house tonight, so that we could go and visit them in the hospital. He is super cute! I was given permission to share his photo with everyone. Zoe is so lucky to have another friend to grow up with!

Zoe's First Halloween

All Done!

Zoe was such a trooper! She was able to celebrate Halloween for two days. On Friday, Shaun and I took her to school and she was in the parade. The lil' lady bug was the star of the show. It was so fun to see her interact with the students and she was so attentive. I would post more pictures of the parade, but I do not have permission to post some of the kiddos that are in the pictures.

Today, she was able to "trick or treat" in my parents neighborhood. My old stomping grounds...it's so funny to think that the next generation is trick or treating at the same houses, with the same people, I did when I was young. Then we came back home to trick or treat at our neighbors' houses.

On a side note, she has been sleeping really well lately. Yipee! About 9 hours almost straight through. A few nights she may wake up once and need her pacifier, but goes right back down. She tried carrots right after peas and she LOVED those compared to peas. Now we are onto squash and she really seems to like that too. She is becoming such a good eater at night, but we are still working on the morning feeding. Her personality is so easy to love and she is becoming so fun to play around with.

Zoe's First Trip to Disneyland

Zoe has no idea what she is about to experience...

Zoe didn't realize she was taking a picture with Mickey AND Goofy :).

We took Zoe to Disneyland for the first time yesterday to celebrate my birthday. She did so well! At first, we thought she was too young to get the pictures with the characters, but we decided to wait in line to see Minnie (yes...wait in line to see a character). It was so cute...Minnie tapped Zoe on the chest and Zoe just cracked up. Shaun was able to get it on video. It was so fun to see her interact with Minnie, so we decided to wait in line for Mickey too. We also took her to the Tiki Room to see the bird show. She was so interested in all the birds and just took it all in. Next time we go, we will watch a parade.

Zoe Liked Peas!

Tonight we tried peas for the first time. She seemed to like them much better than the cereal. She was smiling and clapping through the whole meal. We are still working on the sign for "all done", so hopefully she will use that soon. It sure would help Mommy and Daddy out.

Busy! Busy! Busy!

Well...Zoe is now 6 months old and is AMAZING! She has tons of personality and blows us away with her physical capabilities. It has been a crazy busy month so far. Zoe was supposed to go to another birthday party at the beginning of the month, but it was postponed. Then she went to her first wedding, later to find out that she had ear infections. She was such a trooper! She has been on antibiotics for 9 days now and she definitely does not like that pink stuff!

Last weekend was CLU Homecoming. It is a weekend that we always look forward to every year because we visit with a lot of Shaun's friends from college, including Dave and Kim. Zoe was able to play with Jackson and Addison all weekend. It was too cute to see them interact. Jackson entertained Zoe a lot and she would just crack up.

Today was her six month check-up. Her ear infections seem to have cleared up, so that's good news! She now weighs 15 lbs., 6 oz. and is 25 1/2 inches long. She is is the 33 percentile for height and 35 percentile for weight. The doctor said what we thought was a tooth is just a blister in her gums, so we are still waiting for the teeth to arrive, I guess. Our doctor said that they are very common and they just go away on their own. She is sitting up like a champ and in last few days has shown signs of scooting. Yikes! Shaun put the pacifier down in her crib on the opposite side from Zoe and we left to get ready in the morning. When we went in to get her she was on the side with her pacifier and she was playing with it. What a stinker! She will only do it when she doesn't have an audience.

Zoe Will be a...(for Halloween)

LADY BUG! And I do have to say she is a pretty darn cute lady bug! We tried on the outfit a few days ago, to make sure it fit. It is a 0-6 month costume and Zoe will be 6 months next week. We cannot believe how quickly that has gone.
Every moment is so great, even when she fusses. She has started to develop a little separation anxiety, which seems so early to me!

When October 1st rolled around, I couldn't wait for Zoe to wear some of her Halloween clothes. Grandma got Zoe a perfect onesie for her. It has a bat on the front and it says "Teething Bites". There are more outfits to come and we are definitely looking forward to them.

Today, Zoe wore her "Future Teacher" onesie. And she rolled completely over from her back to her stomach. Not only did she do that...BUT she tucked her knees under her tummy and looked like she was ready to crawl away!

Is it too much for me to tell my baby girl to stop growing up so fast?

Zoe Ate Cereal!

Well...after many different inquiries, we decided that Zoe was ready for rice cereal. She did pretty well eating for the first time. She ate about half of what we gave her and she really got the hang of opening her mouth when the spoon got near. She hasn't quite got the swallowing part down, so it will take some practice.
