The Lil' Bean
Just a Few Quotes
I have been saving some of Zoe's recent quotes because she sometimes cracks us up.
Last weekend we had a garage sale and Shaun was busy working with our neighbor, so I ran the show with Zoe and Wendy. We were sitting around waiting for business and Wendy said to Zoe we needed to get rid of some of her daddy's things and jokingly said maybe him too. Her response..."No, don't get rid of Daddy, otherwise he will be sad." Yes...she uses "otherwise" correct in sentences. Crazy, huh?!
Okay this one is just gross, but has to be documented...sorry Zoe! I had a golden "weiner" (hotdog) on my car intenae and I took it off. I gave it to Zoe to hold and she loves the thing! Well...she went to the sitter's house and left it there one day. Once she got in the car she said, "I forgot my weiner!" LOL!!!! Little does she know!
Last one...in prepping for Zoe's Halloween party, she saw me make cupcakes. I left to run a few errands and she was home with Daddy. When she was done with her lunch, she told Shaun, "Daddy, Mommy said that when I eat all my lunch I can have a cupcake." Shaun knew she was full of it, so he said, "Really?" And she said, "No, no, Mommy said I could have cake with frosting." Creative!!! Side note...Daddy did not give in :).

Zoe's Halloween Party
Boo at the Zoo!
This year we will be traveling on Halloween, so as a guilty mommy, I thought this weekend we had to go big. We went to Boo at the Zoo at the Santa Barbara Zoo and Zoe had a great time. This year we were able to catch the train early and saw the giraffes. Last year we missed the train because it got dark so quickly and we had never been there, so we didn't know the situation with the animals or train. When you go to the zoo, you expect to see animals, right? Not so much at this event...they put the animals away before dark. We had time to visit the elephants, so we had a little animal exposure. After the train, Zoe trick or treated a bit, then played a few games for tokens. The tokens can be turned in for little zoo prizes. Also, they had a little dance party. All in all, it was a fun night and Zoe enjoyed herself.

Summer Stuff
I was looking through our summer photos and realized some pics never made it to the blog! Oooops! We went to the Ventura County Fair with Zoe's cousins and my family. It was a good time. Zoe is timid when it comes to crowds and new experiences. Sometimes we are very thankful that she is very cautious, but on the other hand, it would be nice if she would try new experiences without such reservation. Anyways, she went on the train with me and the swings on her own. In the picture, you can see how happy she is that I left her on that ride. Zach is a go getter and rode many different rides, but my all-time favorite to see him go on was the race car ride. It was hilarious because it would whip him around the curve and he would hold on with dear life and smile like crazy!
Papa and YiaYia got her a new tiara and princess shoes. She is such a ham and posed for the camera.
We always get so many expressions out of Zoe and I finally captured some when she was being super silly. Sometimes these little moments are the very best!
Lastly, Zoe started to show interest in getting her toes painted like Mommy, so I painted them. She sat very still and was very careful as she walked around until I told her they were dry. Kim, she is ready to get a pedi! It is time to take the girls :)...
