Zoe's First Thanksgiving

Zoe and Uncle Todd

It's getting more difficult to get Zoe to pose :)

Zoe's First Turkey Dinner

Wow! This time of year gets crazy, but even more so with a little one! Shaun and I have been busy with school report cards, so life has just been passing us by. Zoe's Thanksgiving went really well. Zoe was a bit overwhelmed by everyone together at the same time, but she came around. Leading up to Thanksgiving, Zoe had a bit of a cold with nasal congestion...later to learn from her nurse that it may be teething. Anyways, Zoe was able to give thanks this year with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Heather, Uncle Greg, Cousin Zachary, Nana, Uncle Todd, Great Grandma, Great Auntie Debbie, Great Auntie Diana, and the Kwans. The only thing that would have made it the best would have been if Zoe's Papa and Yia Yia could have celebrated with us. They were celebrating with Zoe's cousin Khloe in North Carolina. Turkey dinner wasn't quite ready when Zoe was ready to eat, so we went with chicken with sweet potatoes and the next day she had turkey with a little chicken broth. She loved it and gobbled it up!
In addition to having her first Thanksgiving...she started scooting!!! Shaun and I have been in a little bit of denial, but about three weeks ago, she started scooting backwards. We would put her down on her playmats and somehow she managed to get on her belly and scoot backwards off her mats and onto the cold tile. Yeeeesh! Then just the other day Shaun and I had to double take while she was playing on the floor because she would scoot forward just a little bit. Today I put my ring on the floor and got her attention and sure enough she scooted forward and grabbed my ring. It was so quick that I had to grab her hand, so she didn't put my ring in her mouth. Shaun tried it with the TV remote and boy, can she move! We are preparing ourselves to be constantly on the run.

It's Good to Have a Break!

Bathtime with Daddy!

Zoe's Second Trip to Disneyland

Zoe met Mickey and Minnie last time, this time she met Goofy!

Shaun and I have no school this whole week...sooooooo we've been enjoying time with Zoe. We relaxed for a few days, then we took Zoe to Disneyland, for the second time, for a quick trip. We introduced her to Mickey and Minnie last time, so it was only fair to stand in line to introduce her to Goofy (just like her daddy).
She is getting to be such a "big little girl", as her daddy would say, so she is outgrowing her bath in the sink, so this week Shaun started getting in the bath tub to help with her baths. Our bath tub is a deep tub, so we have found it easier to sit in the tub with her until we get the bath seat. She loves the big bath! She can splash and play with her rubber ducky (Well...really it's a Montana Grizz. Go Grizz!) and water doesn't go everywhere.
In the solids department, she has tried green beans, peas, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, rice cereal, oatmeal, and peaches. She is going to try some turkey tomorrow...Yummy! I think she will be a good eater because so far she likes all of it.

Happy 7 Month Birthday!!!

Zoe turned 7 months old yesterday and we made it a pretty big day! She went with us to shop for her Christmas outfit...of course I couldn't decide, so we bought two and have to make a decision. Grandma helped us make a decision which one we should go with, but I still have another dress in mind that we may have to consider too. What can I say...I can't resist these super cute dresses for the holidays!

AND...we took Zoe to get her ears pierced!!! She was so good, of course she cried a bit, but was so brave! We decided to get them pierced now, so she could wear her diamond earrings that Papa and YiaYia gave her :) by Christmas.

So happy...she doesn't even know what's about to happen.

"What did you just do to me, Mommy and Daddy?!"

"Okay Mommy and Daddy, you were right, I love my new earrings!"

So Much Going On!!!

I couldn't resist the headband...

Zoe is eating in her high chair now!

Where is Zoe?

Go CLU!

Zoe is such a big girl now! She can hold her own bottle!

Zoe is continuing to grow like crazy! She has been holding her bottle on her own for a couple of weeks and has been eating two meals of solids every day...in her new high chair. She is starting to scoot backwards on the floor and has gone from the sitting position to crawling position quite a few times. I think she will be crawling in no time.

Zoe Has Another New Friend!!!

Our good friends, Patrick and Sommer, just welcomed Zoe's new friend, Connor, into the world this morning at 3:06. He weighed 6 lbs., 6 oz. and was 19.5 in. long. Connor's mommy was such a champ and made it sound so easy! We dropped Zoe off at Grandma and Grandpa's house tonight, so that we could go and visit them in the hospital. He is super cute! I was given permission to share his photo with everyone. Zoe is so lucky to have another friend to grow up with!

Zoe's First Halloween

All Done!

Zoe was such a trooper! She was able to celebrate Halloween for two days. On Friday, Shaun and I took her to school and she was in the parade. The lil' lady bug was the star of the show. It was so fun to see her interact with the students and she was so attentive. I would post more pictures of the parade, but I do not have permission to post some of the kiddos that are in the pictures.

Today, she was able to "trick or treat" in my parents neighborhood. My old stomping grounds...it's so funny to think that the next generation is trick or treating at the same houses, with the same people, I did when I was young. Then we came back home to trick or treat at our neighbors' houses.

On a side note, she has been sleeping really well lately. Yipee! About 9 hours almost straight through. A few nights she may wake up once and need her pacifier, but goes right back down. She tried carrots right after peas and she LOVED those compared to peas. Now we are onto squash and she really seems to like that too. She is becoming such a good eater at night, but we are still working on the morning feeding. Her personality is so easy to love and she is becoming so fun to play around with.

Zoe's First Trip to Disneyland

Zoe has no idea what she is about to experience...

Zoe didn't realize she was taking a picture with Mickey AND Goofy :).

We took Zoe to Disneyland for the first time yesterday to celebrate my birthday. She did so well! At first, we thought she was too young to get the pictures with the characters, but we decided to wait in line to see Minnie (yes...wait in line to see a character). It was so cute...Minnie tapped Zoe on the chest and Zoe just cracked up. Shaun was able to get it on video. It was so fun to see her interact with Minnie, so we decided to wait in line for Mickey too. We also took her to the Tiki Room to see the bird show. She was so interested in all the birds and just took it all in. Next time we go, we will watch a parade.
