We had such a fun Labor Day Weekend!  We FINALLY met up with the Bayles' family.  It is normal for us to see them about 2 to 3 times a year, but in the last year, it was too difficult to get together.  Kim and I were able to pin point a weekend to block off at the beginning of summer.  Then we needed to figure out a plan.  We wanted them to go with us to San Diego at the beginning of the summer, but it didn't work out, so we decided to meet there again.  When we arrived Saturday, we took the kids to the beach and they had a blast!  Zoe is always slow to warm with any new experience, so it took her a bit, but then she started having a good time.  Jackson and Addie loved swimming in the ocean and playing in the sand.  The kids had never been to Legoland, so we decided to go there.  It was a neat place!  I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a place we will definitely go back to before the girls are too old.  When we got there, Jackson exclaimed, "Erica, I have been waiting all my years for this!" and "I'm in heaven!"  It was fun just to see how excited Jackson was.  They also have an aquarium next door, so we went there as well.  It was a neat little aquarium with a couple touch tanks for the kids.  It was such a nice weekend that we are planning to do it again next summer!

Zoe loves doing what we do, so this was too cute and I had to capture it!

Bye-bye Miss Christy

We are in super busy these days!  Zoe started preschool in NP a week before we started school, so I was able to take her, help in the classroom, and Daddy came to pick her up.  When Shaun and I went to the parent meeting before school started, the teachers gave each parent a note to give the kids. It is such a cute idea and inside the card they said they were excited about this year and were "tickled" to have her in their class (with a feather attached).    She was a bit nervous on the first day, but no tears!  She found her cubby on her own and chose to paint first.  I am amazed at the structure of this program and know that Zoe will have an awesome experience.

Zoe's First Dodger Game

A Cute Lil' Dodger Fan

Mmmmmm!  Daddy was right!  Dodger Dogs are yummy!!!

Daddy's Souvenir

Zoe went to her first Dodger game with Daddy on August 26th vs. the Marlins.  She was so excited to wear her hat and she couldn't wait to get a Dodger Dog.  Daddy was so excited because she was just in aw of everything that the game really didn't matter.  The whole experience was super fun for them and Daddy can't pass up the opportunity to get a picture souvenir.  Zoe got a free backpack and Daddy couldn't resist getting her a foam finger.

Our Summer Project

Before Renovation

 After Day One

 After Day Two
 After Day Three

 After Day Four

Zoe swam during renovations to stay cool.
Kylee slept outside on the couch during renovation. :)
 Textured walls...

All white is not our style :)
Blue primer because we picked a darker blue for that focus wall.

We decided that a house project would be cool, so we had some major work done.  Our half wall near the door is gone, the half wall separating the kitchen and living space is gone, the ugly white poles with notches are gone :), the beam toward the ceiling that separated the two rooms moved up into the attic, and the drop ceiling as you enter our house is gone.  It makes the space we have so open, we love it!  I am still in the process of putting things back together, so the final pic will be posted soon (ok, let's be real...soon with two kids and starting school may be a while).
