Like I said in the last post, I am a guilty momma, so I decided that we should throw Zoe a Halloween party, so her and her friends could hang out and wear their costumes. I didn't mention that we will be flying home from Hawaii on Halloween, so I really shouldn't be very guilty, right? Her friends and cousins came over to celebrate and they all looked so cute! We had fun treats and snacks that were Halloween themed and decorations all over. The party included a spider craft, tattoos, and a small jumper (thanks to Zoe's cousins!). I love prepping for fun little parties for Zoe and hopefully I can continue to do so after the next lil' one comes along!

Mama, really?! I am trying to watch the skit that is going on...

What is that?! And where is it coming from?!

Waving as we ride past the people on the walkway. Just like a princess!

This year we will be traveling on Halloween, so as a guilty mommy, I thought this weekend we had to go big. We went to Boo at the Zoo at the Santa Barbara Zoo and Zoe had a great time. This year we were able to catch the train early and saw the giraffes. Last year we missed the train because it got dark so quickly and we had never been there, so we didn't know the situation with the animals or train. When you go to the zoo, you expect to see animals, right? Not so much at this event...they put the animals away before dark. We had time to visit the elephants, so we had a little animal exposure. After the train, Zoe trick or treated a bit, then played a few games for tokens. The tokens can be turned in for little zoo prizes. Also, they had a little dance party. All in all, it was a fun night and Zoe enjoyed herself.

Summer Stuff

I was looking through our summer photos and realized some pics never made it to the blog! Oooops! We went to the Ventura County Fair with Zoe's cousins and my family. It was a good time. Zoe is timid when it comes to crowds and new experiences. Sometimes we are very thankful that she is very cautious, but on the other hand, it would be nice if she would try new experiences without such reservation. Anyways, she went on the train with me and the swings on her own. In the picture, you can see how happy she is that I left her on that ride. Zach is a go getter and rode many different rides, but my all-time favorite to see him go on was the race car ride. It was hilarious because it would whip him around the curve and he would hold on with dear life and smile like crazy!

Papa and YiaYia got her a new tiara and princess shoes. She is such a ham and posed for the camera.

We always get so many expressions out of Zoe and I finally captured some when she was being super silly. Sometimes these little moments are the very best!

Lastly, Zoe started to show interest in getting her toes painted like Mommy, so I painted them. She sat very still and was very careful as she walked around until I told her they were dry. Kim, she is ready to get a pedi! It is time to take the girls :)...

Pin the Flame on the Dragon (Handpainted Dragon!!!)

Zoe went to her older cousin's third birthday party this weekend. It was a dragon party. The kids had a blast! There was Pin the Flame on the Dragon, a dragon pinata, and a huge castle jumper. Everything was kid friendly! Great job Auntie Heather! Zoe's auntie plans parties for grown-ups for a living, but kid parties are growing on her :). Zach had to choose dragons, so that made the planning a bit hard, but it turned out perfect. Zoe loves her blow up swords she got to take home and was so surprised that Auntie had Clifford "juice" for her. I can't believe very soon we will be planning birthdays for one more! Good times for all :)
