Sea Turtle Farm
Kissing Lucky
We stopped at the Cayman Islands next and went to the turtle farm and dolphin encounter. The turtles were really fascinating and Zoe was so brave to touch one. She was really amazed by the turtles as she was building up more anxiety over the dolphin encounter. We took her to Sea World in April and wanted her to pet a dolphin, but she freaked out. This made us really nervous because we had already booked her dolphin encounter. Khloe was so excited and wanted to do that, so that is how we got Zoe to decide to go. After her little melt down, we told her she could not do that with the dolphin encounter. We told her she would have to be brave and not cry because being in the water with the dolphin, crying would spook the dolphin. It was time for the dolphin encounter and Zo was really scared and anxious. When we were walking toward the pool and Zo started to whine a bit and I had to remind her not to scare the dolphin. We were in luck! Literally, our dolphin's name was Lucky and he was a young dolphin. He was so little and cute, so Zoe was not as intimidated. She did so well!!! It was such a great experience and Zoe was so proud of herself. We got to pet his belly, his back, dance with him, and kiss him. It was a fun experience and I am really glad Zoe enjoyed it.
