We took Zoe camping to Carpenteria over the weekend. We went with our neighbors, Jeff, Wendy, and Steven. Zoe had so much fun and got so tuckered out!
Playing in the tent was one of her favorite things to do. She could easily walk around and she would make faces at us as we sat around the fire pit. The sand was a bit challenging to walk through, so she wasn't a big fan of walking around the campsite. She ate food that was new to her and slept whenever she needed to. It's the camping way :).
Her first fire experience had her mezmorized and she sat in her own beach chair. It was too cute! She looked for shells with Wendy on Saturday and collected them in a bucket. Zoe was very good about putting them into the bucket when she found them. Toward the end of the day at the beach, Zoe had had enough sun and looked like she was a little chilly in the shade, so she hung out in Daddy's shirt. We set up a canopy and our stuff and hung out on the beach all day. Zoe napped in her stroller twice and there was always enough shade to help keep her out of the sun from time to time.
On Saturday night our other neighbors, Oz, Jen, and Jasmine came to visit and have dinner with us. Zoe had had a long day, so we bathed her and put her in her jammies shortly after Oz and Jen arrived. Not long after, Jasmine was in her jammies too.
