My Birthday/Christopher and Amber's Wedding

On my birthday, we celebrated at Christopher and Amber's wedding.  Christopher is my friend, Deni's son and it was such a great time.  We drove all the way to Corona and it was a warm day, but by the time the wedding started, it cooled down, enough to enjoy the whole night.  It was such a cute location and we had a lot of fun with the photo booth too!  Congrats you two!

CLU Homecoming

CLU Homecoming is always a great time with family and friends.  The girls had a great time playing this year despite the heat.  And early that morning we walk/ran the 5K.  We had street tacos, ice cream and the girls got their face painted, plus a balloon animal.  It is a good opportunity for Daddy to show the girls where he lived and every so often share a college story with them.

Kylee Started Preschool!!!

Oh boy!  Kylee has been saying she wants to go to Sissy's school.  Well, the next best thing was the preschool closest to her school that would be a full time situation.  It has been quite an adjustment for all of us!  She was the one that our hearts would just break when she cried at drop off.  Then she got comfortable and well...she's SPICY, what can I say?!  The teachers are definitely getting a run for their money with this little peanut.  Naptime is a nightmare!!!  Poor thing has been so used to having her own space to wind down and snooze in during the afternoons and now she has to share the room with 8 or so others and Kylee is not so sure how to handle that.  She entertains them with singing, storytelling, and all sorts of creative things.  Unfortunately it is supposed to be quiet time.  She is coming along and the teachers got a little pep talk from us as to what works with her.  We have high hopes for this little one and she definitely has a go get 'em personality, with a bit of spice, so some day she may be her own boss!  (Well...that's the hope anyhow.)

New Kitchen and Hardwood Floors

We have a new kitchen and hardwood floors!  I LOVE it!!!  With the help of our friends Jeff (for the demo, electrical, drywall, etc.) and Dave (for the cabinets!), we have a LOVELY home!!!  There are some final touches that need to be completed, but I am so happy to have a space that I love.  It was worth all the mess and whatnot!!!

First Day of First Grade!

Holy macaroni!  Our little girl is in first grade already!  We are thrilled to be sending her to the magnet school in the neighborhood and she was such a happy little girl starting with the first day of school.  We are very happy with the school community and the sense of belonging Zoe has everyday.  Her friends in the neighborhood go there and she is branching out to others too!  She was so nervous on the first day of school, but then met her teacher who said she was so nervous to live up to her expectations and Zo breathed a sigh of relief.  She is doing amazing and now that she is warming up to the school, she is looking into activities that she would like to participate in.

Grandma is Teaching Zoe How to Sew

Grandma got Zo a sewing machine and she is learning how to sew.  She is so proud when one of her lines is actually straight.

The Band Perry Concert (Zoe's First Concert!)

This was a special treat for Zoe...she got to spend the evening with just Mommy and Daddy, at The Band Perry concert, at the VC Fair.  Zoe was grinning from ear to ear the WHOLE time!  She sang along with us to a few of the songs.  It was really fun!
