Frog and Toad Chorus Performance-Zoe (May 2017)

Zoe earned the lead bee part.

 Fan Club Part 1

 Fan Club Part 2
Zoe has become quite the performer!  She seeks the leads and is really coming out of her shell.  It's really fun to see her on stage because she really comes to life.  We still remember the days from her preschool years when she wouldn't sing or dance in class or at any performances.  She has tough competition in her grade for leads, so she keeps trying hard for the leads with the most speaking parts.

Zoe's First Formal Art Lesson

Zoe drew the horse in its corral, from scratch with some direction on shapes and how the fence continues behind the horse.  It took over an hour and she was so focused when working.  She learned how to hold a sketching pencil and how to shade with chalk pastels.  We were impressed!

Strawberry Picking (April 2017)

Heather and I decided to take the kids strawberry picking at the farm.  Brody and Gina came along too.  The kids had a blast and most of all, they thought it was pick and eat...oh boy!  They are TROUBLE.  They tried their fair share and we bought our fair share too!  They were sooooooo delicious, the kids cant wait to do it again.  The containers we bought didn't last more than a couple days.

Easter 2017

The Easter Bunny left baskets full of goodies!

Easter is always a good day spent with all of the cousins.  It's great to see how all the cousins get along.  My cousin's kids get along just as well.  It's nice to have a day to let the kids play and they will also hunt for Easter eggs.  The hunt is all inclusive...my aunts hide the eggs and all the kids hunt them.  They are getting older, so the aunties have had to get a little more clever.  (At least we don't hide the real ones anymore...)  Late that afternoon, we have a nice meal together and the kids play inside for a bit.

Zoe's 8th Birthday Emoji Dance Party (April 2017)

Who knew Zo was so dramatic?!

 Making Emoji Pillows

 "Everybody clap your hands..."
 Party Crashers
 Emoji Pizza

For Zoe's 8th birthday, she wanted an Emoji Dance Party, so we created a section of the patio into a dance hall with a black and white dance floor and lots of emojis.  The kids made emoji pillows and took pictures in front of the green screen (later to be deleted from an iPad we turned it at work...oops!).  Zoe had a blast hosting her friends and cousins and was so thrilled to help with her cupcakes.  She has really shown an interest in helping in the kitchen and more so for baking/decorating.  It's fun to show her how I decorate and to teach her.
