Kylee Turned 5!!! (April 2017)

Our baby girl sure does know what she likes.  For the girls birthdays, I decided they could have separate parties because they are so different and I can't seem to get them to agree on a theme anymore.  So, Kylee had the family party with some close friends and she was dead set on a Hot Wheels party.  She was so pleased and was so excited to have her own ideas behind it.  As a 5 year old, she thinks she is such a big girl.

Zoe's All Choir Concert (TO Civic Arts Plaza, April 2107)

We were very impressed with how well done this concert was.  Zoe was so nervous with so many people, but she did such a great job and wants to do it again.  There were about 150 students from all the schools in Newbury Park.

Grandma's Birthday (March 2017)

We went to a Japanese restaurant for Grandma's birthday.  It's always an adventure to take the kids out to eat all together, so we thought entertainment would really help.  The kids had a great time and Grandma had to dress up to top it off!

Zoe's School Award (March 2017)

Zoe makes us so proud with all of her achievements at school.  Her teachers always have the nicest things to say about her and she seems to always try her very best.  Mrs. Pletcher gave Zoe her award in second grade for Academic Effort.  It has been so fun to see her grow academically with all the enrichment that the school offers too.

Preschool Fun 2017

 Ky and her buddy, Lexi
Partners in Crime (Paige, Lexi and Kylee)

Kylee really enjoyed preschool, EXCEPT for nap time.  Those poor nap teachers tried to keep that busy body quiet and still for over an hour!  I believe they learned to bribe her, so if she gave them a half an hour of down time, she could go to quiet activities.  She was always so tired, but the preschool setting did not work well with the way she was accustomed to nap time.  Despite being there 2 years, nothing seemed to change.  That little school did help her grow socially though.  Her "spicy" behavior will serve her well when she is older, but she is still going to have to work very hard to harness the inner-spiciness.

Softball 2017 (Kylee's First Season, Zoe's Second Season)

Last spring, Zoe's team was the Lil' Dodgers and Kylee's team was Cotton Candy Crushers.  Zoe had the same couches as the first year and Kylee had a mom from Zoe's team the previous year.  It was fun!

 My Little Bobble Head

We were cracking up because we wanted to see if Kylee could be a catcher...the gear was so heavy she would just fall backwards, every time we set her up in the correct position.
Zoe was moved to the next age group and worked on making contact with a live pitch from her peers...it was TOUGH!
Kylee was quick on her feet and got the ball...WHEN she was actually paying attention.  What do you expect, she was 4!

Because I am soooo far behind, our next season is just about to get started, so there will be more to come!  Looking forward to this year because our girls now have some experience and Zoe loves playing.  This year we will see what Kylee really thinks.

Feb. 23, 2017 Science Night

These types of nights at the girls' school is the reason why I LOVE where they go.  It will be so neat to see over the years to see how their interests change and their knowledge builds.
