Happy Easter

The kids always enjoy hanging out for the holidays.  This year we went to my brother's house and Brody came to do crafts, hunt for eggs and enjoy something to eat together.  It is fun to see how different kids search for eggs, or peek in the eggs and put them down if it's not what they want, or they collect so many the basket overflows and they drop eggs for others to pick up.  We are so lucky to have kiddos that are so close in age and have such a close relationship.  I felt creative enough to make a sunflower cake, Shaun and Zo made the apple pie and I made the strawberry pie too.

Happy Birthday Grandma! (March)

It sometimes is easier to celebrate birthdays at the house because the kiddos can have a little more freedom and can hang out more.  Happy Birthday Grandma!

 We LOVE the Corvette Diner!!

Every spring, we try to make a weekend trip to San Diego.  This year Jeff and Wendy brought their niece, Kristin with them and the girls had a great time.  Kylee discovered her LOVE of roller coasters, but was bummed to miss the BIG ones because she was too little.  Poor thing!  Our lil' dare devil.  Zoe is becoming more open to trying new experiences and loves the thrill of roller coasters as well.  She is really coming into her own and finding her adventurous side.

Softball in the Spring (Zoe's First Season)

Zoe's New Painted Helmet
 Rockin' Twisted Softball Sisters

Zoe blew us away this year, with many firsts.  We told her that we signed her up for softball and initially she was so excited.  As the first practice date approached she began asking a lot of questions and showed a lot of uncertainty.  Shaun helped coach for regular season, so he took her to her first practice and she would not get out of the car.  She told Daddy that she did not want to play anymore and that they needed to go home.  Daddy was so excited to get started that he gave one of his pep talks and she knows that if she tries something for a season and does not like it, that we will not make her play another season.  With that in mind, she went out there...a couple painful games (to watch) later, she was doing so well!  She loves softball and at the end of the season, she was asked to play on the all-star team!

Zoe had such a good time playing and is looking forward to next year.  She is a bit nervous because it's kid-pitch next year, but will practice with Daddy, so she will be just fine.  Mommy has learned to embrace softball because when I was Zo's age, I wanted nothing to do with a softball ever again...
