Monster Mash

We stopped by Zoe's school's Monster Mash.  We walked around a bit and got a bit of candy.  It was a great event to wear her costume to!

More on Dance

The girls did so well in their dance class.  The last picture makes Zo look like a real performer!  She is really enjoying herself and boy, does it tucker her out!

Mmmm...Ben and Jerry's!
We were able to have a great CLU Homecoming weekend.  The kids played well with one another. This year Kim, Addie and I went to get our pedis in the morning on Friday, while Zoe was at school and Kylee and Jackson hung out with the guys.  Then the guys went to their tournament and the ladies took the kids to the park to play.  We hung out and fed the kids dinner, then Grandma came over to babysit the troops.  Kim and I got a Girls' Night Out!  Yeah, for mommy time!  We don't get that opportunity a lot, so thanks Grandma!  We went to a nice quiet restaurant with Sommer, Kaylee, Kim and me.  Then off to dessert at BJ's.  It was so nice to catch up and have great conversation without a single interruption :).
The next morning, Shaun thought it would be nice to walk the 5k with the girls, so we did and at the Mile 1 marker, Shaun was pushing the stroller with both girls, up hill, and BAM!  The tire hit a ditch and the front wheel rod bent.  We were down a tire, luckily the front one, so I said no biggie, let's keep going.  I pushed the rest of the way, popping a wheelie.  Zoe had to get out and was such a trooper the rest of the way!  She ran with Connor a good portion of the last two miles.  Way to go, Zo!
Then we showered and got ready for the game, had lunch with the Bayles' and went to the game.  The kids ran around, played a little ball, and watched a little of the game.  Then we went to the family event.  This year was a year that many of our friends had that moment of reflection, remembering what our first few family events were like with no babies, then tiny babies, and now kiddos that run around everywhere.  This has changed the amount of time the guys get to spend in the beer garden too!
We always have such a great time, we can't wait to do it all again next year!  Go CLU!

Tea Party

The girls went to a tea party at Nana's church.  They painted a ceramic bear bank and made cookies.

Dance

 Cousins ready to dance!
The girls are taking dance together.  They have to concentrate so much on the moves!  It is a tap and ballet class, so they are having a good time with it.  More pics to come!!!

Who You Gonna Call?...Ghostbusters!!! (Party)

 Proton Packs

 Ghost Catchers
 All GREEN food!

 Get him!!!

My friend from high school goes all out for her little guys birthdays too!  This year, Jake had a Ghostbusters party.  The kids chased Marshmallow Man and got him with their proton packs (silly string).  She did such a great job!  Kylee was good up until Marshmallow Man came out, then she didn't want anything to do with the party, "I go home...I all done", is what she was saying.  Poor baby!

Zoe is Reading!

Zoe has been working with me for a couple of weeks, now that we know the sequence of her sight words.  In this video, about a week ago, she was reading 15 sight words and now she is at 20!  She is two-thirds of the way to knowing all the sight words required for kindergarten.  She is a sponge!  We are not forcing anything, but when she wants to work, we work!  Her phonemic awareness came so easily, so Shaun and I put her first book in front of her last week and she read!!!  She read the whole book by herself!  Her poor teachers :)
