Summer Began with a Bang!

 

The Kris and Meghan's fam came to CA to visit and the baby cousins met for the first time!

We started out the summer with a bang!  Our summer is booked!  We go from one trip to the next with just a few days in between.  (It is good to be teachers!)  Kris, Meghan and the girls came in from NC and we hung out at our house on Father's Day.  The girls were able to play and they really enjoyed each other's company.  It has been two years since Zoe and Khloe have seen each other and now they are at that age where they play really nicely together.
Then we went to Disneyland for three days.  Zoe and Khloe had a blast on the rides and played with one another every chance they got.  All of the girls were mesmerized at the parade in the afternoon and they loved dancing to the music after dinner at Big Thunder Ranch.  Thank you Papa and YiaYia for taking us!!!
After our trip we went to Papa and YiaYia's for a pool party.  It was a good time and the girls learned that they can Face Time one another, so we will be keeping in touch more often! 

Baby West's First Birthday

We went to the farm for baby West's first birthday and it was so fun!  Zoe had a blast and played everywhere there.  Also, when we first arrived, we went on a horse drawn wagon ride around the farm.  We pointed out all of the fruits and crops that were growing and Zoe really loved it all.  The only thing that she still will not try and the baby wanted nothing to do with it either, was the pony ride.  Oh well!  Maybe some day...

May was a BIG month for Kylee...

Lil' Miss Kylee Mae decided that at 13 months, she was going to have a couple BIG firsts.  She got her first two teeth (Yes!  VERY late...) and poor thing has super swollen gums still!  Since then, she has cut two more teeth and one molar.  It looks like four more in the front are coming in and three other molars.  Poor baby!!!
AND she started walking!  I was getting a bit worried that she was going to struggle when we went on our camping trip, less than a month from then, because of how uneven the ground is when camping.
She is talking and screaming up a storm...dada, mama, dat, and a whole lot of Jibberish :)...we are seriously working on the screaming bit.  Poor thing has no way to communicate, so she feels screaming gets the point across.  Yikes!
We are having a blast with her right now because she has such a little personality and she still idolizes her big sis.  Her smiles are contagious and the little giggle is just super cute.  She loves hanging upside down and is really ticklish.

Here Comes Summer!!!

In May it got super hot.  We decided to get out all of the fun outdoor toys and the pool.  Zoe, Zach, Ryder and Jadyn broke in the pool in May.  Kylee held her own and as you can see, she loves to climb!

Sea World and Legoland Trip

One of the last weeks in May we went to Sea World and Legoland.  We had a great time with the Bell family and it was baby Daysie's first trip to Legoland.  As teachers, we got in free to both places!

We went to the zoo with the Carrico's in May to see the new baby giraffes.  There are two of them and they were too cute!

Thomas the Tank in May

In May, we took the kids to see Thomas the Tank.  It was neat as a one time deal.  The girls were able to ride on the train for the first time and hang out with her cousins.  These outings are always fun with the cousins.  Zoe got a matching tattoo as Daddy, colored pics of Thomas, and Zach held a BIG snake!
