Kylee's First Trip to Montana (Albertini Reunion)

 Nona and Kylee
 Loves seeing from Daddy's Perspective
We know Kyler...you didn't mean to pinch her ;)
A trip to Montana is not complete without a little water play in Great Aunt Linda's front yard...
Great, Great Aunt Emma and Nona

Met up with Rick, Pam, Heather, Madeline, and JT too

Pam and Rick treated Zoe to a special treat...an ice cream sundae...yum!!!

All the cousins playing in the pool...

Picture Time

Kylee and Zoe traveled very well on our trip.  Zoe was really good up until the very end when exhaustion hit...it was the last morning after the reunion was all done, but we were headed back to Billings.  She traveled well while in the car, so that was a plus!  Kylee had an adjustment period after waking up extremely early and flying to Montana, but after that she was great!  We stayed at Jeff and Amy's house until the reunion.  It was nice for Zoe to get some play time with Kyler and visit Nona a lot.  Then we headed for a four-five hour car ride to Great Falls for the reunion.  We opened up some time to visit with Shaun's Godparents, Rick and Pam, Heather, and her two kiddos, Madeline and JT.  We had a nice lunch and caught up with them because we haven't seen them since Zoe was really little.  We had a gathering Thursday at the hotel, a barbeque at a park, and a dinner with the family at a restaurant after the traditional family photos.  Saturday morning we were able to go out with the immediate family to formally say our goodbyes to Shaun's Papa and drive up to the homes that he had grown up in.  At the hotel all the cousins had a blast swimming!!!  That is how Zoe got so tuckered out :).  I will be posting more pictures once we get the family photos.  This year we had a photographer taking the pictures, so we are eagerly awaiting the CD of pics in the mail.

Kylee...3 months (A little late :) )

More of Big Sis' Hair Cut

 Three Month Pic

 Where did she learn this???
Three months and growing like a weed!!!  Kylee is growing much faster than Zoe did...sorry Big Sis, you are probably going to be the short one.  She is babbling and giggling away and she has just started to turn from back to tummy, but gets really frustrated because that stinkin' arm gets in the way!  She stares at her toys and loves to bat at them.  Her bebe pod is one of her hang out spots and loves staring at anything that moves.  She is eating and sleeping well and is rarely fussy :).

Fun in the Sun

Zoe had so much fun playing in the fountains at the mall.  She wasn't planning on getting wet, but she was having so much fun, it was bound to happen.  Wendy, Mommy, and Daddy ran around with her, but Mommy was the only one to stay semi dry.

Connor and Nick playing ball...

Fourth of July was fun.  We decided last minute to have people over.  Our friends Jeff and Wendy came over and Steven and Kiara met them over here later.  Lately, Zoe's favorite person is Kiara.  She loves playing with her and Steven.  She says she likes to babysit, so we may have to take her up on that someday.  Also, we invited Jill and Clint with their little ones, Nick and Sydney and Sommer and Patrick with their little one, Connor and Sommer's dad, Jim.  It was fun to just hang out and the kids swam and played in the back yard.  I am so happy with the set up we have back there because it makes it so easy to entertain (and it is kid-friendly).  My parents stopped by to say hello before they were off to their party.  We has a nice yummy spread of food with hamburgers, corn on the cob, watermelon, green salad, and an array of other summer fruits.  For dessert Zoe helped me bake a strawberry poke cake decorated like a flag, red, white, and blue popsicles, and rootbeer floats.  It got foggy, so we didn't see much of the fireworks, but we were able to see some close up :).  Zoe stayed up like a champ, and slept in until 8:30 the next morning.

Zoe's First Haircut!!!

 Smiling to Start
 Ready to go!!!
 Not to sure...

 Watching her every move!
 Even a little blow dry...
And...HOLY COW!  We have a little girl!  No more baby!!!

 Right before bedtime...
Tapered and looks healthy!!!

Again Shaun and I braced ourselves for a potential disaster.  Seriously, Zoe is growing up every minute of every day!  She was great and so brave!  Her first hair cut is a cute little hair cut and she commented it was easier to swim today because her hair was better :).  She wanted to see it in the mirror when we got home and was so proud of her new do.

Bottle Time for Kylee

 Daddy was successful!!!

First Successful Bottle Feeding

Wow!!!  We entered new territory this week.  My mom had a hard time feeding Kylee a bottle a couple weeks ago, so she told me that I better start feeding her by bottle more.  I knew we needed to introduce the bottle, but I didn't think it was a big deal.  Well...it is!!!  First, my mom said she screamed the whole time and then Shaun said she screamed the whole time.  She wouldn't take it.  We never went through this with Zoe because she was bottle fed the whole time.  I had no idea that that transition would be a difficult one.  Basically, it came down to two things...1.  I went and bought a different bottle...supposedly this one is "closest to nature" and 2. We starved her to get her to take a bottle.  It worked!!!  She likes the new bottles and would take the bottle, but only from me.  Daddy was determined, so the next feeding he wanted to try.  He did it!  Phew!  What a relief.  I thought we were going to be in big trouble when school starts.  I have learned that we are not alone in this struggle, many of our friends' kiddos do the same thing.  Shaun tried today and had NO problem!  Yeah!!!  That is not something else I need to worry about while working in the fall.

Pool Time

Zoe is becoming quite the little fish.  We work with her a little on her swimming skills and the rest of the time she plays with either Mommy or Daddy in the pool.  Sometimes Kylee hangs out outside with us and Zoe gets to play with both of us!   Our goal is to get her more comfortable on her own and I think that we have accomplished that.  She hops all over by herself, swims happily in a tube, can use a kickboard with a bit of support for reassurance, will hold her breath and put her mouth, nose, and eyes underwater (still working of the WHOLE head), and doesn't mind getting splashed anymore :).  I think by next summer she will be swimming all over!  Our pool was the best investment this summer and Zoe is loving the chance to swim daily.
